MUSCLES IN MOTION:
Curl Up Ball Toss

by: Candice Copeland Brooks
How's that chewing gum commerical go . . . Double the pleasure, Double the Fun. The Curl Up Ball Toss is not only a great way to work your abs, but it lets you have some fun with a child or a friend.

Setup:
Sit on the floor facing a partner with knees bent and feet touching or close together. One partner is holding the ball. Roll down until you are lying on your backs.

How To Do It:
curl Up Ball TossCurl up simultaneously and hold the curl at the top of your range of motion. Pass the ball to your partner. Both partners now roll down and complete the curl.

Curl up again and toss the ball to the other partner. The ball toss happens at the top of each curl up. Continue until your abs are fatigued or until you are laughing so hard that you are unable to continue!

Tips:
Curl up slowly and with control. Don't toss the ball to your partner until she has curled up and is ready to catch your pass. Roll down slowly and take a deep breath to prepare you for the next curl/toss.
